Cuts 4 Tots

Calleigh had her first haircut! Wipeee! ^^ I noticed yung hairline niya sa forehead umuurong dahil sa ponytail. So, I finally decided to take her to a salon. But ofcourse, before that eh ginupitan ko na siya. "Pamahiin" kailangan gupitan ng matalino muna. Oh well, ako na ang nagupit muna. Hahaha!
Cuts 4 Tots at 3rd level, Trinoma
At first, she was really excited...
Kala niya ata playtime!
even more happy when I put her on the car chair with television and lots of toys in front of her..

And then...
Notice her eyebrows? nagsasalubong na!

As expected!!!

Videos:

Wawa naman! ^^ But after her haircut session, I allow her to play muna while changing her shirt. ^^ Heehee!
I paid P290 for Calleigh's hair cut. A little bit pricey but worth it considering how careful the hair stylist was with my Calleigh even when she's crying. I also got her a certificate with her hair and before and after pic (which I can get after 2 weeks). I added P195 for it. I'll post it soon! ^^

Samu't Sari

Calleigh Update: She's turning 14 months tomorrow. Yey! I'll be sharing some of her videos and a few photos later. It's hard to keep track of her achievements lalo na ngayon super kulit! hay! She can't walk on her own yet, she's still holding onto furniture when walking. I think walking on her own will take a little longer pa. ^^ Okay lang! no rush! The important thing for her is that she is moving on her own; she no longer has to wait to be lifted and carried. Takes more practice anak! ^^

Hmmm, whatelse??? Still has 6 teeth! heehee! Tamad lang to hold her bottle and to eat by herself. But she knows how!!!
See?
Anyway, try to watch her funny videos...

Tries to put on her shoes.

Play time with Papa J - singing "fly fly fly the butterfly & i have two hands"

Saying - Apple

Hahaha! gayahin daw ba ang daddy niya sa pag kain ng peanuts. ^^

Calling Dada!!!

Giving mommy her sweet embrace... ^^

Pabasa or Pasyon

According to this link - The pasyon is a verse narrative about the life and suffering of Jesus Christ. The verses are structured in five-line stanzas, with each line containing eight syllables. The pasyon is commonly sung during Holy Week, starting Holy Monday. The reading of the pasyon is a traditional religious practice in the Philippines and people gather around the reader of the pasyon to listen and reflect. It is seen by many of its practitioners as a vow or panata

The tradition of chanting the pasyon is not rooted to the Spanish language that the songs were originally written in. but is connected to the singing of epics during cultural celebrations among indigenous Filipinos. The pasyon is usually chanted a capella though occasionally the chanters may be accompanied by guitars.

Calleigh's 12 month Photos

Finally! My computer is now okay! So, let’s start blogging Calleigh’s 12 month old stories.. Hmmm, where to begin?

Calleigh turned 1 and I can officially say that she’s already a toddler. Whew!  She definitely knows how to get under my skin and has mastered the art of "testing me." I'm being strong, but there are times when it's just easier to give in.

Her development: Let me see if I can still remember...
·         * Calleigh has 6 teeth now. But her two front teeth – spongebob pa din!

·         * She cannot walk on her own yet. No rush! She’ll get there soon.

·         * Trying to feed herself with a spoon.  (practice pa anak!)
·          * New words: Hakey for Okay, saying the name DORA is more clearer “DOWA”, owl,         apple, diaper, papap for food, papup for poop, seep for sleep, this, that, come, go, can count 1 to 3, alphabet – A to C. I’m impressed with her vocabulary. ^^ Just check my previous posts. More baby sign language...

·         * She likes scribbling and ofcourse reading her books

·         * Hands objects to you when asked. (She's been doing that when she was 10 mos old) However, she can respond to simple questions and commands.
·         * Non-stop babbling into more speech-like form, with increased intonation

·         * Starting to get shy with strangers

·         *  Loves playing name that Item. ^^

* Youtube Addict!

Sharing more of Calleigh's videos...

1st video:

She's trying to get out of her crib! aaaaahhhh! that's the reason why we don't leave her alone inside her crib even when she's sleeping. ^^ Yesiree! kahit tulog nakabantay pa din si Ate. ^^
* She's saying the word "hakey" meaning OKAY!
* Papup sound. Telling us that she needs to make papup na. hahahaha! I guess she's ready for potty training! Yey! less diaper, less gastos! ^^ heehee!

2nd video:
Just babbling... And trying to read her books. ^^

Ano daw? ahh owl! hahaha! Koreana ata talaga to si Calleigh. ^^ Nyahahaha!

Here we go again!!!

Calleigh is sick again. arrrggghhh! According to this site: One reason that babies get a lot of colds is that their immune systems are immature, making them more vulnerable to illness. And, most children average between six and ten colds per year. In families with children in daycare or school, the number of colds can reach 12 per year! (The average adult gets two to four colds annually.) What????
We won't be taking Calleigh to the doctor yet, we still need to observe and since there is no medicine will make a virus go away faster, we need to follow her doctor's advice.

Nebulize religiously with Plain NSS solution. And our home remedies: Eucalyptus (oil burner) serves as vaporizer before she goes to sleep, use rubber bulb syringe (depends on her mood, but she knows how to blow her nose) and elevating her head when she's sleeping. It will help Calleigh feel a little better.

To reduce your baby's risk of getting a cold:

1. WASH YOUR HANDS! Make sure everyone in the household washes their hands frequently.
2. Wipe young kids' hands with a clean washcloth and warm water often. Babies love to put their hands in their mouth.
3. Wash young kids' hands before and after eating and after playtime.

WASH! WASH! WASH! WASH!

There is no cure or vaccine for the common cold, which makes catching a cold an inevitable part of growing up.

Lefty?

According to some research, hand dominance is greatly influenced by genetics. Hmmmm, parang hindi naman! ^^ Both my parents are left-handed, bakit ako right-handed pati mga kapatid ko. hehehe!  When Calleigh started scribbling, she uses her right hand. But now, she preferred using her left hand. heehee!
Here's a video of Calleigh with Papa J.

They say that you won't be able to determine your true right or left-handedness until your child is 2 or 3 years old.  ^^ Oh well, no big deal! ^^ It's perfectly "hakey" with me. ^^

Remember that it's not a good idea to attempt to influence your child's hand preference. While genetics alone don't entirely explain why someone ends up right- or left-handed, hardwiring of your child's nervous system is at least part of the reason. Forcing your kids to use their right hand when they're really a lefty is unlikely to work in the long run and will only confuse or frustrate them along the way.

Youtube

Hello there! Mom's computer still won't turn on. heehee! that's why she cannot write stories about me. She's only using Papa J's or Tita Madel's laptop when teaching her students. She cannot store pictures and videos of me. PLUS.... during mom's free time, I do this....

See this cute, furry little red monster? This is Mem-O (ELMO) heehee! I love watching his videos. He's so cute and funny!

That's it for now... I'm busy... BYE!!!
