Talking Hands

Oh dear, I just realized that I only have a few photos of Calleigh during her 14th month. tsk! kainis!
Calleigh - 14 months @ Astoria Plaza Hotel

I was too busy with my cupcakes and IR photos... However, I have tons of her videos naman. I will be sharing that later... My little princess is now 15 month old. Still can't walk on her own, she's still holding onto furnitures or holding her ate's hand when walking but she can manage a few steps on her own before falling. ^^ Her teeth - Yey! Upper - 4 teeth and Lower - 5 teeth. ^^ Heehee! Calleigh loves singing and dancing. She still loves books, she can sit still and listen to a story for ten minutes or more, or pretends to read them. ^^ Talking is not a problem! I don't have to encourage her to talk because she talks non-stop. Her willingness to repeat all the words she can hear -- nakakaloka!

Here's a story:
Me: meron kausap sa phone - "hahaha! Pun-ye-ta kakaloka ang lula mo... blah blah blah"
(Calleigh was busy watching her elmo video, pag baba ng phone)
Calleigh: mom?
Me: Yes honey?
Calleigh: P-TA? P-TA? (laughs) mom happy? P-ta! P-ta!
Me: yap, mom is happy and I said fita anak!. (pabulong - yari ako sa tatay mo nito)
Calleigh: Fita? Eat? go down mom, eat!

O diba? di ko masabing NO kasi uulitin lang niya ng uulitin. Hahaha! O well, maybe it's time for me to share her videos...

Video 1: - Showing her nose, mouth, teeth, saying her name, kuya hanz and jayjay

Video 2  - I'm signing and she's saying the words (dede,apple,ball,hat)

Video 3 - Mommy using sign language and Calleigh saying the words (eat, book, mommy, daddy, etc....)

Heehee! Galing no? I'm so proud of you Calleigh...That's it for now...

Calleigh's 11th month photos

Calleigh's 11th month photos

Wipee!!! Calleigh's turning 1 on Sunday. ^^ We are all excited! We've been teaching Calleigh on how to blow a candle in preparation for her birthday.  She's been trying, but the air comes out of her nose and not her mouth! I gave it a thought and realized that she is applying what I taught her the time she was sick. Whenever I say "blow", she thinks that I am telling her to blow her nose to ease the congestion.

This month, Calleigh has been perfecting a lot of things. She hasn't changed that much...

Her development continues to amaze me.

1. Baby sign language: Milk, play, bath, dad, mom, no, stop, fish, butterfly, dog, duck, bird, car, book, ball, cat, more, sleep, yes, up, down, no more, finish, stars, eat, come, airplane, telephone.

2. She can now say the words: Daddy or Dada, Mum, Mama, Papa, Hi, Bye-bye, Car, "nos" - nose, "eees" - ears, "ays" - eyes, "B" - baby, "Mik" or "Dede" - Milk, "Dddddora" - Dora (she's actually singing the dora song every time she sees dora the explorer), "bafly" - butterfly, "Te" - Ate, "fawr" - Flower, "ish" - fish, "Ayt" - light, "sik piz" - Music please.... and so on... ^^

3. Mimicking sounds: Her favorite "MONSTER", Dog, Cat, Tiger, Duck, Cow, Bird, Baby and "ME" when I'm angry. (Calleigh will say like this: Aaahhh nya nya nya nya nya ha! HA! HA?)

4. She still loves playing peek a boo and hide-and-go seek and he likes to wave. Has been blowing kisses for a long time now, but now makes the accompanying smacking noises! Mwah!

5.  She likes to act silly and make jokes and loves to dance.

6. We are still working on the whole "no" thing, he understands for sure and minds most of the time but likes to test me too of course.

7. She loves to play with anything around the computer and likes watching animated butterflies, birds and fishes and her Nickelodeon friends (umizoomi, dora, spongebob, backyardigans, ben and holly) from youtube.

8. She seems very interested in colors and numbers lately. I've been doing lots of counting and identifying with her. She listens so eagerly to everything I say.

9. She can identify almost everything from nose, eyes, hair, mouth, colors to her toys by pointing when asked.

10. Her favorite things still consists of climbing onto everything. She still loves her stuffed animals. She loves to be held and cuddled and kisses. She loves to have her hair brushed. And she discovered a cabinet this month that we have cleaned out especially for her. She stays forever entertained!

11. She still enjoys looking at books, leafing through the pages and pretending that she's reading.

Now here she is...a stunning, thriving 1 year old little girl that I can't imagine in any other way.

Calleigh's 10th month photos

My 10 month old Calleigh has been a learning machine. She has mastered crawling up and over steps, pulling up to stand, sitting down from standing, letting go when standing (this one is really scary!) and is on her way to walking!

As for the rest of this month's amazing new developments:

Baby sign language – mastered the sign for Milk, play, eat, bath, more, fish, butterfly, dog, stars, come, up, no, sleep, telephone, ball, balloon, book, car and so on... ^^ kalimutan ko na yung iba.

Words: No, go, bath, pretending that she’s counting (babble words), “ganda”, mum, daddy, papa, mama, milk, lora – Dora, pin – Upin Ipin, Mo – elmo, Te – Ate, Ta – Tita, Ya – Kuya Hanz and recently she started saying her name – Calleigh. ^^

She likes singing and dancing – nursery ryhymes and old music ofcourse. She hates super ingay na music.
She sometimes holds her bottle while watching elmo or upin and ipin.

She still has 4 teeth, my little spongebob. She definitely likes to bite ME and other things, though. Including things that I think are way too hard for her to be biting.

She is sharing. It's adorable. She loves to hand me things and to feed me her foods. sweet.

She can express her wants and needs through expressions and most importantly, gestures! It makes things much easier.

She’s not a picky eater anymore but she is becoming more and more difficult to feed. Now that she is so much more active and always wanting to play.... it's sometimes hard to get her to concentrate on eating.

She has started to "fight sleep." I have always been very proud of Caleligh’s sleeping habits. But now that she is nearing the toddler years, it seems as though she is always on the go and doesn't want to miss a moment of what the world may have to offer her.  She still has 2 naps everyday and sleeps completely through the night. It's getting her to FALL asleep that is complicated.

She also has just recently started blowing us kisses.
She is already a daredevil and tries to climb up on us all the time!

Can't wait to see what 11th month brings... Let the countdown to Calleigh’s first birthday begin!

How many words can your little one sign now?

How many words can your little one sign now? Calleigh (at 10 months) knows a lot of signs - milk, play, telephone, no, fish, butterfly, dog, bird, cat, more, daddy, mommy, bath, thank you, finish / all done, up, stars and so on... It's amazing to see how she signs back.

Calleigh's 9th month photos

Calleigh the Explorer. ^^ She has mastered the art of crawling, sitting, standing and the world of temper tantrums. Ugh!

Here are some new things she’s been doing:

-          Baby sign language / asl – more, food, bath, sleep, telephone, hi and bye
-          Learned how to give kisses and hugs, following commands like: no, come here, lie down, pull, stop, answer the phone, read, sing, dance... There are a lot of phrases that she is beginning to understand and it's amazing to know that she is learning to communicate in different ways. She will now hand me things when I ask for them. She usually wants them back pretty quickly, though.

-          She says the following words with ease:  mum, daddy, papa, mama, hi,  baba (baby), wow, no, go, hair, NYE at at at GANDA. Heehee!

-          Loves watching “ELMO” – memorize ko na lahat ng cds niya and i’m sure si calleigh din.

-          She can walk while holding onto furniture.
-          Still coping with separation anxiety.  (I just learned that - Sneaking away from your baby without saying good-bye is a definite no-no (that erodes her trust in you) YAIKS!

-          Likes reading books, playing with her flashcards.

She’s been working her ways to express herself, such an adorable jibber-jabber. ^^ She’s turning 10 months tomorrow, moving on to bigger-kid stuff...
