12:00 am – Doctor: IE kita ha. Me: okay po. Doctor: 4-5 cm pa lang. tagal pa to sige tulog ka muna. Me: okay po. (I can hear them saying bukas pa yan manganganak. Wag mo na gising si dra. Mga 5am mo nalang tawagan and bigay yung progress ni patient michelle)
1:40 am – Nurse: Doctor paki check every 3 minutes kasi ung contractions nya pero parang bali wala sa kanya. Me: OA naman to, nararamdaman ko shempre pero tolerable yung pain. Doctor: Cge, IE kita ha. Me: Time, wiwi muna ako pede ba magpunta ng CR? Doctor: no, 4-5 cm ka nab aka biglang malaglag yan baby mo. Bedpan ka nalang magwiwi. Nurse: OKAY ITO NA WIWI NA… ^_^
2:00 am – Doctor: IE kita ulit ha. Me: Okay po. Doctor: 4-5 cm pa din, naku by morning kailangan bumuka yan kung di ma ccs ka. Me: ah, okay! Ayaw pa e. (^_^)
2:15 am – Doctor: IE kita ulit ha, grabe na daw contractions mo di ka pa nasasaktan and tulog ka pa. Me: antok na antok na po ako e. masakit pero okay naman kaya naman yung pain. Doctor: HALA ANO BA 7cm KA NA DI KA NASASAKTAN? (to the highest level and tone ng voice ng lula mo) Me: Ah, ito po ba yung part na dapat masakit na? (smiled) Doctor: YEZ! Di ka nasasaktan? Me: Okay lang po. Doctor: Gusto mo na ng epidural o mamaya na? Me: ah mamaya nalang po. Doctor: Ngayon nalang kesa mamaya baka sobrang sakit na mahirapan ka. Me: Okay.
2:30 am – anesthesiologist came in and gave me the epidural. I asked the BIG MANONG to hold my hand para di ako matakot. HAHAHA! After giving me the half dose of epidural, I’m not allowed to move for an hour.
3:30 am – Doctor: IE kita ulit ha, kamusta my nararamdaman ka bang pain? Me: meron pa din parang wala naman nilagay na gamot ganun pa din yung pain. Doctor: Rate mo 1-10. Me: 7 ung pain same as kanina. Walang changes! ^_^ Doctor: cge, IE muna kita…. WOW, 9CM KA NA! nakuha mo pang mag smile! Me: ^_^ a tlga, yaiks anong dapat kong gawin? Doctor: wala, wag kang hihinga baka lumabas yung baby. (they all laughed) every nurses were on ALERT for my case as my labor went on. They all rushed and prepared the DR and called my OB. I can hear the doctor saying (Dra. Dalian nyo po kasi malapit na malapit na)
3:45 am – I saw my OB- Dra. Cheng came in and I smiled. It was a relief moment for me. ^_^ Dra. Cheng: hi michelle, naka smile ka pa ha. Check natin si baby. Me: okay po. Dra. Cheng: full dose na bigay mo. The anesthesiologist gave me full dose of the epidural. Dra. Cheng: wag kang mag sneeze or uubo lalabas na si calleigh. Then I was transferred to Delivery room, I was 10cm dilated and was ready to push.
4:00 am – after 5 long and painless pushing….
4:05 am – JANUARY 23, 2010, Julianne Calleigh arrived. ^_^ I was able to look and touch my baby Calleigh. ^_^

THIS IS IT!!!
39th week

I started my 39th week of pregnancy January 22, 2010, a little bit worried because my baby was still positioned a little too high, and my cervix was 1 cm dilated for the past 3 weeks. I was already feeling some pains in my abdomen and continuously felt hardening in my tummy.
Series of labor:
5:00 am – had irregular contractions 15-30 minutes interval. I wasn’t sure if its true labor pains and I don’t think it’s time to call my doctor yet. I tried to go back to sleep. Jayjay arrived home at around 10:00 or 11:00 am from the office.
11:30 am – contractions interval was every 15 minutes.
12:00 nn – had our lunch and after eating we went outside the garage and did some walking. At this time, contractions come and go every 5 minutes with each contraction lasting for about a minute.
1:15 - I decided to text my OB and inform her about my situation and she said I need to see her ASAP. I knew it! ^_^ So, Jayjay and I packed our bags, get dressed and went to the hospital at around 2:00 pm. (GOSH LAHAT NG TRAFFIC DAANAN DAW BA NAMIN)
3:00 pm – When we arrived at the hospital, I was 3 cm dilating. My OB said I need to be admitted within the day however, it would take some time before the 10cm mark so I can still go out and walk but I’m not allowed to eat heavy meal. We decided to go to Tiendesitas. On the road, I texted my family and friends to pray for me and Calleigh. SURPRISINGLY, I WAS A LOT CALMER THAN I THOUGHT I’D BE.
5:00 pm – had our mirienda. My request – HALO-HALO! ^_^ while waiting for my mom and kuya Hanz.
6:30pm – they had their dinner. Contractions still come and go every 5 minutes and lasting about 1 minute. We stayed at Tiendesitas until 9pm.
9:00pm – I was too tired and sleepy, so I decided to go back to the hospital.
9:30pm – 5th floor – PRE-LABOR ROOM – Upon admission, I am 4cm dilating. I was immediately hooked up on the fetal monitor and the contraction monitor. I stayed there for about an hour then they transferred me to Labor Room.
10:30 pm – they’re still monitoring my contractions, blood pressure and baby’s heartbeat. They gave me something to make my contractions stronger.
11:00 pm – Nurse: Strong contraction to ah, masakit? Nararamdaman mo? Me: ah ok lang, normal lang yung pain. Nurse: ah okay, sigurado ka? Kasi masakit na to. Me: okay lang talaga. (smiled) So, I continued praying while staring at the clock.

38th week
***still 1 cm dilated, had my weekly check up, no IE (wipeee), ultrasound results ~ calleigh is doing great, she's now weighing 7.6lbs. ^_^
- had a lot of tightening across the belly, a lot of pressure pushing down, nakaka pamurang menstrual-like cramps and lower back pain. 15-20 minutes interval and after 4 hours of monitoring my contractions... WICHIKELS FALSE LABOR... ugh!!!

Happy birthday Tatet
Happy birthday Tatet! ^_^
Final stages of pregnancy, I'm 1cm dilated since Monday ^_^ I've been experiencing irregular contractions (ouchy) and can't sleep comfortably. Just waiting for the D-day! ^_^
